Women Sing for Peace Series
september-November 2026 | 9 week SEries | All levels
Singing is a way to connect with our hearts, and the hearts of others. It is a satisfying form of emotional release, and a magnificent tool for empowerment. It consists of breathe and vibrations… The voice itself is an absolutely incredible force!
Women are invited to join together to sing for peace deep within ourselves so that we may weave that healing into our communities and send it out to the world. No prior singing experience needed. Beginners are warmly welcomed!
We will focus on healthy vocal technique, including breathing exercises and warm-ups, and learn songs, chants and rounds from a variety of people and places with an emphasis on honoring the origins and intentionality of the music.
You will receive nine 75-minute in-person classes, plus:
A “welcome” instructional video and a final recap video of all material covered
A culminating Community Celebration + Jam
Discounted 1:1 lessons
VIP access to community events and masterclasses with visiting artists!

11:15-12:00 pm Singing in Your Power with CH
Singing is a way to connect with our hearts, and the hearts of others. It is a satisfying form of emotional release, and a magnificent tool for empowerment. In this group singing workshop we will focus on vocal health through breathing and vocalizations, leading to singing songs about resiliency.
12:15-12:45 pm Nourishing as We Age with SW
Eating is not just a survival tool, it’s a daily opportunity to check in with our bodies. Our meal choices have the ability to remind us “we are safe, loved, and worth the effort!” During this program we will touch on three nutritional components that become increasingly important for maintaining strong, powerful and resilient bodies as we age.

Aging triggers a natural cycle of muscle loss and with it changes to our metabolism, cardiovascular and immune systems. Additionally, activities that define who we are (drumming, gardening, cooking, dancing, etc) become increasingly more difficult. Reclaiming our strength is not just about looking good in our favorite pair of pants, it's about owning how we age and creating a resilient framework to keep us feeling like our best selves. In this active program we will apply some functional strength patterns to keep you drumming and feeling your best. Get ready to move!
2:30-3:15 pm Drumming in Your Power with CH
We have all experienced drumming in joy and peace, but this workshop will magnify the power that we carry as woman drummers! We will play djembes with groundedness, intention and strength with an overall goal of becoming more connected with our drums and our own bodies.
3:30-4:00 pm Good-Better-Best Tool with SK
You’ve identified the joys you want to bring home—now let’s make them possible. I’ll teach you how to use the Good-Better-Best Tool to flex with real life, letting go of all-or-nothing thinking so you can find the balance between what you have to do and what you want to do. You’ll leave with a practical mindset tool you can use every day to get things done and make room for what you love.

Chelsie Henderson is the founding mama of Earth Beat Music. Read more about her story here.
Sara Kelly is the co-founder of Practical Hug, a platform dedicated to helping people feel more supported, connected, and less alone. She believes that support should be practical, accessible, and woven into everyday life—not reserved for moments of crisis. Through podcasts, a virtual Village, online courses, and small group gatherings, Sara creates welcoming spaces where people can show up as they are, find meaningful connections, and discover tools that help them move forward with greater ease. Her work focuses on helping people build their own village of support while making room for more joy in the midst of real life. She is passionate about reminding people that they don't have to carry everything on their own.
Shannon Woodcock is a functional nutritionist and personal trainer in Cambridge, NY. Her purpose is to help women age with more strength, resilience and joy! She leads a strength and nutrition program called ‘Strong for Life’ aimed at reducing muscle and bone loss, increasing mobility and balance, and creating movement confidence in a safe, supportive, small group setting.
Hayberry House is perched atop a hill overlooking 168 acres of meadow, woods and pond ecosystems. The house is post-and-beam construction, built with timber harvested on the farm. An array of south facing windows warm the space and highlight the view. Groups can gather outdoors on the expansive deck space or share a cozy fire while watching the sunset. It’s a truly calming space to gather. Additionally, Hayberry Farm hosts 5 acres of pick-your-own blueberries, an acre of lavender, and many acres of chestnut and hazelnuts.
