Introduction to Dundun Dance

Let’s drum AND move our bodies to West African rhythms! 

Participants will learn to play West African stick bass drum, called dundun, that will go along with simple dance steps. Area drummers will accompany the classes for a high-energy music and movement experience!

We strive to connect students to the Master Musicians - our mentors - from West Africa, as well as other regional visual and dance artists to create a WHOLE experience.
