Dundun Drum + Move Series

Let’s drum AND move our bodies to West African rhythms TOGETHER!
Participants will learn to play rhythms on the West African stick bass drum, called dundun, that will go along with simple to more complex dance steps. Area drummers will accompany the classes for a high-energy music and movement experience! Limited dunduns and sticks are available to use in class as needed, but do bring your own if possible. “All Levels” is for beginners to more advanced drummers!
You will receive nine 75-minute in-person classes, plus:
A “welcome” instructional video and a final recap video of all material covered
A culminating Community Celebration + Jam

CLASS SPECIFICS
WHEN: 9 Sundays from September 13 to November 22 at 6:00-7:15 pm
No class October 4 | Final Celebration + Jam details will be announced at our first class!

WHO: All levels (beginner to experienced) | Ages 13+ | 25 students max
