Dear EarthBeat Music Family,
I added some more haps to the EarthBeat Music Calendar for this month and beyond. Before I dive into the fullest gig week I’ve had in quite some time from the June 13 Battenkill Valley Pride Festival to the June 19 Saratoga Springs’ Juneteenth Festival, may I state that I am so honored to be living a mission of cultivating empathic and resilient communities through musical expression. And don’t you forget that community simply doesn’t happen without YOU! When I see you out and about this week I may be energetically exhausted but will always make time for a (sweaty) hug and smile.
BIG NEWS! Sayon Camara will be visiting our community at the end of July to share West African djembe and dunduns workshops, as well as an evening of folklore and singing! All details and links to register for these golden workshops with Sayon will be in the next newsletter.
Please note that I changed the details for the Frame Drumming Summer Series to accommodate overfilled Summer schedules. I’ve paired it down to just 2 weeks to get us warmed up for a more extensive Fall program.
