Dear EarthBeat Music Family,

Mark your Fall calendars and let's continue to join together to "build empathic & resilient communities through musical expression"! The next sessions of Strum in Joy, WomenSing for Peace and Drum in Joy offerings will begin in early September and run until early November. Visit the EarthBeat Music Calendar for all of those details, including all links to register. Registration will remain open until August 20.

I will be sprinkling Grateful Gatherings back in this Fall, and will be excited to announce some events in the works with special guest Master Drummers M’Bemba Bangoura and Sayon Camara. Keep an eye on the calendar for additions and I will of course share all news each week.

Our first Drum Circle of the Summer was a rocking success! More to share about that in an upcoming Gratitude Retrospect, but I just have to express my sincerest awe in the amazing atmosphere and my overflowing gratitude for everyone who made it happen, especially Beau Stallard and family for use of the Magical Pavilion, and Kathleen with the Rhythm Sisters for leading the way.

A few Drum Circle reminders: bring a chair and please park on the lawn near the Pavilion (not in the main parking lot)! Also all drums and percussion are welcomed; it was lovely to see and hear a frame drum and a shekere amongst all of the djembes and dunduns at this past week’s Circle.

The third week of July offers our next EarthBeat Community Drum + Song Circle, facilitated by our wonderful friend Paul Postiglione. All donations this week will benefit RISSE-Albany. See you there!
