Bouncing and Drumming on 8/28! | Seny Daffe TOMORROW!

Dear EarthBeat Music Family,

We’re very excited to see Seny Daffe TODAY for West African Drum and Dance Workshops! All workshops are all levels, ages 13+; beginners are very welcomed. There are currently 5 spots remaining in the drumming workshops, and 10 in the dance workshop.

Read on for more details about these workshops, as well as our final Summer hurrah on August 28th AND upcoming Drum in Joy and Strum in Joy series registration information. Keep an eye on the Calendar for additional Fall offerings, including WomenSing for Peace pop ups, Grateful Gatherings, Intro to West African Drumming classes and Community Drum + Song Circles.

Our end-of-Summer EarthBeat Community Intergenerational Summer Drum + Song Circle is on Thursday, August 28th with a family-friendly twist! This Circle will include a bouncy house, sponsored by the Kayak Shak!

All are welcome to come from 5:30 pm on to jump before we drum (and may even jump while we are drumming!), and then I will lead an all ages drum circle from 6:30-7:30 pm. Participants may also want to bring snacks or pick up wood fired pizzas from Harvest and Hearth to enjoy at the picnic tables under the magical Pavilion.

Donations will be accepted at this Circle to benefit our beloved friend and teacher, Master Drummer Namory Keita, and his family.

No registration necessary. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Various drums and percussion will be available to share. Please park on the green near the Pavilion, NOT in the main parking lot; we want to respect the parking needs of Kayak Shak and Harvest and Hearth patrons.

Our Circles are rain or shine, but if there is inclement weather in the forecast the Circle could be cancelled. A newsletter would be sent by 3:00 pm that day and the website calendar listing would be updated with “CANCELLED” typed across the event heading.
